 Footprints in Sand Poem
Over the years Footprints in the Sand has become my favorite poem for many reasons.  I have it on plaques on my walls, on bookmarks and key chains.  The actual footprint has become a symbol of the poem for me. Just as I have a collection of the poem itself I also have a collection of feet.  Just as the two feet magnets sit on my refrigerator or maybe the feet earrings, but most recently the new tattoo around my ankle of eight footprints.  I choose footprints for a screen name a few years back and more recently footprints4ever. I have tried other screen names, but always go back.  I heard Christy Lane sing this song many years ago at a live concert and still today it is my favorite song.   Something of interest with this poem is who actually wrote it.  There seems to be two authors.  I also have my own Footprints in the Sand page that I put in my profiles that has the poem and several links.  Check it out!!!!
 Writing and Poetry
I have been writing since as far back as I can remember.  I would never say I was good at it, but something I do enjoy very much.  I have found it to be very therapeutic.  I first remember actually being rewarded for a poem I wrote in elementary school for remembrance day.  As I grew up I wrote several poems and even wrote a song or two.  Now I still enjoy writing from time to time, but don't do it near enough.  As writing was therapeutic... reading poetry was relaxing.

 Music
I have always liked listening to music. Later on in Elementary school I took a bigger leap into it and began to learn to play the flute.  I loved playing, but soon learned there was so much more out there.  For a few years I bounced from one instrument to another then I finally settled on the alto saxophone.  During high school I took band and belonged to the concert band and jazz band.  Being in the different bands gave me an opportunity to travel.  I still enjoy listening to music such as the Eagles, Airsupply, Queen, and many more.
 Figure Skating & Swimming
When I was growing up in elementary school my interest in sports were not wide skating and swimming and more swimming and skating. At a young age I got involved in competitve swimming and figure skating. At one point in my life I was doing both.  I have always enjoyed watching both on television. Over the years have kept up with figure skating.  I still watch some swimming and have added an interest in diving.
 Equestrian Jumping
During my teen years I became very interested in horses and riding.  Before long I learned to ride.  It wasn't long before just riding wasn't enough.  I began equestrian jumping.  I still remember the first jump I ever took and fell off head first.   Now all I can to do is watch alot of the events on televisions, but enjoy them all. I followed the career of Big Ben from start to finish and was very sad to see him die.  Ian Miller is an awesome trainer, rider and sport mans.
 Dolphins and Whales
For sometime now I have enjoyed watching and listening to sounds that dolphin and whales makes.  The sounds are so relaxing and peaceful to listen to for those quiet moments when you just want to sit and think. The movie Free Willy I enjoyed very much.  I even got to see the second one which is amazing for me.
 Cooking
I love to cook and bake.  I have had this wonderful opportunity to learn about  food storage.  It makes shopping and cooking so much easier.  Growing, drying and canning is also something I love to do.  I have learned a great deal living all around so many orchards.  Nothing tastes better than something made from scratch or canned yourself.  I enjoy the time I get to spend in my kitchen.  Over the years I have collected a few favorite recipes, some tips and learned alot about substitution.
 Coca Cola
I have been drinking coke for many years now.  Before you ask you can not fool me with the Pepsi challenge either.  Not to brag any, but that Pepsi won't get past the first sip.  I use to collect anything that was coke.  The white polar bears have become my favorite.  I will watch documentaries, read articles anything you can give me about coke.  Yes; I know what is in it and I still drink it every day and it hasn't eaten my stomach out yet.
COKE RULES!!!!!
 Crafts
One of my biggest pass times is learning and creating all different kinds of crafts.  I also like to sew, knit and crochet.  I have tried many different things over the years from quilting and braided rugs to plastic canvas and needle point.  I must say though the things I have enjoyed making the most were all the Christmas decorations.  It must just be the season that brings it out.

 Adoption
As I was adopted at birth and then later in life gave up a child at a young age. I long to find out more information and continue to search.  If by chance you are about 55 years old (give or take a few yrs.) and gave up a child in Edmonton, Alberta Canada in March 1965 please contact me for further information.   If you where born in May 1982 in Kamloops, British Columbia and are looking for your mother also please contact me for more information.  The internet has opened up so many new doors and opportunities for everyone in this area and it warms my heart to see all the reunions because of it.
 Genealogy
Being an only child I have always wondered about family and felt like I have missed so much not having a sister or brother.  I have wanted to research and find out about relatives to fill that void.  Some years back I was introduced to genealogy.  Over time I have found relatives and talked with them and even have my dad doing it now.  He is addicted more than most.  If I ever get my ass in gear there will be a family history page of my adopted family for all to explorer.  I think that it is one of the greatest things you can pass on to your children.  Everyone always thinks about the material things, but what a better treasure than your history to be able to pass on forever.  Well I did get my ass in gear and get a page done, but it was for dad so it is his family only.
 Psychic
I have always had an interest in Numerology and some Astrology.  More recently I have gotten a deeper interest in all aspects of it.   I have learned alot about meditation, chakras, gems, communicating with those who have passed over.  Numerology, Astrology and Tarot cards are still my first choices.  The native American totems are also of interest to me.

 Mickey & Minnie Mouse
We all have our favorite cartoon characters and mine happen to be Mickey and Minnie.  I didn't watch alot of cartoons like most kids did, but I never missed Walt Disney on Sunday evening.  My parents took me to Disneyland then and I remember thinking how cool it was to be able to see Mickey and Minnie on Christmas day.   A few years back I got to take my kids there and looking through all the pics we took my favorites are still those of the kids with Mickey and Minnie.

 Computers
Last but not least is my computer.  I Just don't chat.  I know you don't believe me lol.   I do all kinds of things from web pages, family history, research, music, and even a little slots.  I love graphics, animation and fonts.  I am sure I could go on forever about all the neat things to see and do online.  I won't though hehehehe.  You can check out my favorite links to find places I go too and maybe find a few things you might like to take a look at.
